Wholesale and bulk
Wholesale and bulk diesel for Guyana businesses
When the diesel does not arrive, the day stops. GCITI supplies bulk commercial diesel across Guyana and delivers it on trucks and vessels the company owns and crews, from its headquarters at Parika and its own depots, by road or by water depending on what it takes to reach you.
What usually goes wrong, and what we do about it
-
The delivery does not turn up, and the plant stands idle.
GCITI owns 5 trucks and 5 vessels and crews them. Nothing is waiting on a subcontractor's schedule.
-
Your site is awkward to reach, so suppliers quote around it.
Road or water, chosen for the site. A river or coastal delivery point is an ordinary job here, not an exception to be worked around.
-
You get passed between people trying to find who covers you.
One office at Parika coordinates all 5 areas. The person who answers already knows what reaches you and how.
-
You are never quite certain what came off the truck.
Transfers are attended throughout and the quantity is confirmed with whoever takes delivery, every time.
-
You are buying through someone who has to go and check.
You are dealing with the operator. GCITI imports, holds and delivers the fuel, so the answer you get is the answer.
-
Every order starts from scratch.
Once GCITI holds your site, access and delivery details, the next order is a quantity and a date.
How ordering and delivery work
- 01
Tell us the operation
Where the fuel goes, roughly how much, and how a vehicle or vessel reaches you. Site access is what decides the mode.
- 02
We plan the mode
Road or water, matched to your site rather than to a default. GCITI owns 5 trucks and 5 vessels, so both are genuinely available.
- 03
We quote the supply
Priced against your actual volume and route, not a published band. You are quoting with the operator, not through a broker.
- 04
Delivery runs to your operation
Attended throughout, with the quantity confirmed with whoever receives it, every time.
Volumes and timings are set against your operation when we quote, not published as a band. How delivery works →

Questions buyers ask about accounts
What is a commercial diesel account?
An arrangement where GCITI already holds your site, access and delivery details, so each order after the first is a quantity and a date rather than a fresh briefing.
Is there an amount I have to buy?
Tell us what the operation runs on and we will quote it. GCITI supplies businesses of every size, and the quote is built around your volume and your route rather than a published band.
Do you deliver by road or by water on an account?
Both, on the same account. The mode is planned around your site access, the volume and the destination, and it can change between deliveries if the operation changes.
Which parts of Guyana can an account cover?
Five areas: headquarters and a wharf at Parika in West Demerara / Region 3, GCITI's own depots on the Essequibo Coast, in Region 1 and at Bartica, and delivery into Berbice. Road delivery reaches Parika, the Essequibo Coast, Berbice and Bartica; Region 1 is supplied by water, which is why GCITI operates vessels as well as trucks. GCITI also supplies through partner points, which are not published.
Is GCITI approved to supply petroleum products?
GCITI is approved by the Government of Guyana to import petroleum products, and supplies the local market with diesel, gasoline and heavy fuel oil to the quality and standards the government sets.
Do I deal with a salesperson or with the operator?
With the operator. GCITI owns the trucks and the vessels and employs the crews, so the answer you get about whether something can be delivered is the answer, not a quote passed down a chain.
