Five areas. Reached by road, by water, or both.
GCITI supplies bulk commercial diesel across five areas of Guyana: headquarters and a wharf at Parika, its own depots on the Essequibo Coast, in Region 1 and at Bartica, and delivery into Berbice. Every area is served, with the mode planned around your destination, volume and access.
Where we work, and why each is different
These are not one market repeated four times. They sit on different sides of a river and at opposite ends of the country — which is exactly why GCITI runs both a road fleet and vessels, and reaches every one of them by either. Region 1 is the proof: a road-only supplier cannot serve it at all.

01
Parika
West Demerara / Region 3
Region 3, officially Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Published as West Demerara / Region 3 so it is never confused with the Essequibo Coast, which is a different market on the other side of the river.
The registered office and wharf at 25 A Salem, Parika, East Bank Essequibo — and the river crossing point for traffic heading to the Essequibo Coast and the interior.
-
02
Essequibo Coast
Essequibo Coast
The Essequibo Coast — the coastal strip on the western side of the river. In Guyanese usage 'Essequibo' means this coast, not Region 3.
Across the river from Parika. Rice, farming and coastal commercial operations.
-
03
Berbice
Berbice
The Berbice region, east along the coast from Demerara.
East of Georgetown on the coastal road. Sugar, rice, farming and commercial operations.
-
04
Bartica
Region 7, Cuyuni-Mazaruni
Bartica, Region 7, at the confluence of the Essequibo, Mazaruni and Cuyuni rivers.
The river gateway to the interior mining and quarrying districts, upriver from Parika.
-
05
Region 1
Region 1 (Barima-Waini)
Region 1, Barima-Waini — Guyana's far north-west, on the Atlantic and the Venezuelan border.
The most remote of the four. Road access from the coast is limited, so supply into Region 1 runs by water. Mining, forestry and farming operations that a truck out of Georgetown cannot reach.
Beyond the four
GCITI also supplies through partner points. Those sites are not published. If your site sits outside the areas above, ask anyway — the answer depends on the route and the volume, and it is worth thirty seconds to find out rather than assuming.
A note on the name
Essequibo means the Essequibo Coast. Region 3 is officially named Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, which leads people to treat the two as the same place. They are not — they sit on opposite sides of the river and they are different markets. We publish Region 3 as West Demerara / Region 3 for exactly that reason. If you are on the coast, the Essequibo Coast is your area.
One number, every area
There is no depot switchboard to work through. The office at Parika coordinates every area, so the person who answers already knows what reaches your site and how. Tell them where you are and they will route it.

Questions buyers ask about coverage
Which parts of Guyana does GCITI supply?
Five areas: headquarters and a wharf at Parika in West Demerara / Region 3, GCITI's own depots on the Essequibo Coast, in Region 1 and at Bartica, and delivery into Berbice. Road delivery reaches Parika, the Essequibo Coast and Berbice. Region 1 and the Bartica depot are supplied by water, which is why GCITI operates vessels as well as trucks.
Is 'Essequibo' the same as Region 3?
No, and it is a common confusion. In Guyanese usage Essequibo means the Essequibo Coast, on the western side of the river. Region 3 is officially named Essequibo Islands-West Demerara and is a different market on the eastern side. We publish it as West Demerara / Region 3 so the two are never mistaken for each other.
Are these real depots or just delivery areas?
Both, and the difference is worth stating plainly. Parika is the headquarters and wharf. The Essequibo Coast and Region 1 are GCITI’s own depots, with fuel stored there. Berbice is served by delivery on GCITI’s own trucks and vessels. GCITI also supplies through partner points, which are not published.
Can you supply Region 1?
Yes — there is a GCITI depot in Region 1, Barima-Waini. Road access from the coast is limited, so supply there runs by water. It is the clearest case for why GCITI operates vessels as well as trucks.
Can you deliver by road and by water in every area?
Parika, the Essequibo Coast and Berbice are served both ways, decided by your destination, the volume and how a vehicle or vessel reaches your site. Region 1 is supplied by water because the road does not practically reach it, and the Bartica depot is supplied by vessel up the Essequibo.
Why does having both modes matter?
Because the five are reached differently: Berbice east along the coastal road, the Essequibo Coast across the river, Bartica upriver at the meeting of three rivers, Region 1 by water in the far north-west. A supplier with only trucks, or only vessels, has to turn some of that away.
Can you deliver outside these areas?
Ask. GCITI also supplies through partner points that are not published, and anything further afield is looked at against the route and the volume rather than turned away or promised blind.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the product, the destination and your site, so it is set when we quote rather than published as a number that would be wrong for most buyers. Send us the job and you will get a real answer.
Who do I call for my area?
The same office, wherever you are. One team at Parika coordinates every area, so you are not passed between depots trying to find who covers your site.
How do I get a quote for my area?
Send the destination, the volume, when you need it and how a vehicle or vessel reaches you. That is enough for a real answer.
Tell us where you are
Destination, volume, timing and how a vehicle or vessel reaches you.
